Jordan Whitfield was born in Chesapeake Beach in Virginia Beach, VA in 1998. Having grown up on the East coast, traveling with his father’s band, his love of art began with music. Throughout his life, Jordan has always been fascinated by imagery and how the world is represented through the eyes of others. Naturally, he was drawn to photography. The interest was cultivated during his teenage years and further developed when he began working as an film editor for The Levee Studios.
After completing his internship, Jordan delved even more into his photographic practice, which involved capturing his local surroundings through photography. The images that Jordan takes on his trips in the city and on the road are only part of the narrative. He uses the practice of creating a story from raw footage in film to create the perfect video through editing or learned techniques.
Jordan has also trained other editors, specializing in coloring and cutting film. He teaches others in order to help them foster the same enthusiasm that he has for film and photography.
Jordan owes a lot of his success to the stock website Unsplash, from which he has accumulated over 30 million views on. His photography has been featured in Harvard Business Review and Writer Atticus's ." Love Her Wild: Poems".
